A unique fashion collection designed specifically for women who have experienced breast cancer is being launched today by the Alloro Collection. Alloro’s designs address the changes in bodily contour, comfort and appearance that occur during breast cancer treatment – all without sacrificing style.
The Alloro Collection is the brainchild of Laurel Kamen of Washington, D.C., who in 2011 underwent a double mastectomy. While preparing for surgery, she discovered that sophisticated clothing was not available to women recovering from breast cancer treatment. Joined by her friend and Alloro co-founder, Christine Irvin, of Stamford, Conn., the two were determined to correct this fashion omission, and the Alloro Collection was born.
